Over the past year, we've learned a lot about engaging, inspiring and teaching the aviation community. We've learned to direct attention and help our community learn and grow. Sponsored series allow you to be a part of that conversation.
By sponsoring a series, your brand promotes content that we write and stands on its own - teaching and inspiring aviators. We'll work together to identify themes and topics that run in-line with your brand's values, products and services.
We'll create a series landing page to organize the content. Your brand's social media and advertisements exclusively display on this landing page and all component stories. Contact us to discuss package options.
Boldmethod and General Aviation News look gorgeous on every screen, and your message should look just as great. We'll collaborate to design interactive, rich media advertising content that puts your best foot forward on every device. Contact us to discuss package options.
We don't use separate sites for phones, tablets and desktops. Instead, the page layout flows to fit the reader's screen. Some of our advertising slots display when a reader uses a wide or narrow screen, and others display across all widths.
You can supply multiple creatives for each slot size, and rotate them evenly or until the ad server finds the highest performing creative. In addition, you can supply high resolution creatives to ensure your message appears sharp on high-dpi devices like iPhones and iPads.
Boldmethod runs a 0.47% average click through rate (CTR) across all display advertisements.
You can target advertisements by geographic region, device or story content. Contact us for pricing information.
We don't load your ads until the reader approaches your slot. So, if your ad targets a slot at the bottom of an article, that ad won't display (and we won't record an impression) until the reader approaches the bottom of the article. This helps keep CTR high.
If you have questions about a specific format, please contact us.
The top tower displays on all content pages at the top right when the browser is over 800 pixels wide. In most cases, it displays a 300 pixel wide creative. However, if the browser is less than 915 pixels, a 120 pixel wide creative serves instead. We suggest a 300x600 creative, though you can use a 300x250 creative as well.
This slot displays on browsers less than 770 pixels wide, which generally targets tablets and phones. The slot is fixed to the bottom of the reader's screen and remains in view floating over content as the reader views the story.
We recommend supplying both creative sizes to fill this slot, so the reader always sees a large creative.
The bottom tower displays at the end of a story on long content pages when the browser is over 800 pixels wide. This slot generally serves on quiz, list and longform stories. It usually doesn't display on video stories, as they are too short.

This slot appears on every story page, immediately before the comments section. Its width varies with browser size, starting at 970 pixels wide on a desktop and shrinking to 300 pixels wide on a phone. It allows for up to 250 or 280 vertical pixels.
We recommend supplying several creative sizes to fill this slot, so the reader always sees a large creative.
