Flying somewhere new is exciting. But do you know enough about the FBO where you're planning to keep your airplane?
Does the FBO have hangar space available? What are the pricing options?
How do fuel prices compare to other FBOs on-field or at nearby airports?
Does the FBO have rental cars or courtesy cars available? The last thing you want is to show up and not have any access to transportation!
Is the FBO close to town? Or should you fly into another airport?
If you're planning to arrive late or depart early, make sure to check the hours of operation so you don't get stuck behind a tall airport fence!
What amenties does the FBO offer? Are there lounge rooms, food options, and flight planning rooms?
The last thing you want happening is to get stuck with a broken plane with no mechanics nearby. What maintenance options does the FBO have?
For most pilots, cost is the biggest factor. Are there any landing, parking, and overnight fees?
What's the best FBO you've ever flown into? Tell us about it in the comments below.
