The FAA recently ruled that online ride-sharing programs offered by services like Flytenow and AirPooler are not legal.
Their reasoning? The FAA says that pilots using these online services meet all four elements of common carriage, saying they are "holding out to transport persons or property from place to place for compensation or hire", even though passengers are only paying a pro-rata share of the expenses.
What do you think? Should ride sharing services be legal? Vote, then tell us what your thoughts in the comments.
